Mochi & Brownie

Mochi is a cat who lives alone in his tiny comfort house with a big plush toy as his company. He names it ‘Brownie’ and always carries it around with him no matter where he goes or what he does. Mochi enjoys his home so much that he would stay busy everyday - always finding something to do around his home.

I chose a ‘transcendent’ color theme with a combination of three colors (navy-indigoish, violet, and light purple). This kind of shade for some reason it kind of gives me a relaxed mood yet deep feeling like purple sky sunset that we usually get to see at the beach.

As I learned this from the Color Harmony, this ‘transcendent’ shade - there is an air of mysticism and/or spirituality present in the combination of hues, somewhat magical, contemplative, mysterious, and other-worldly, implying that the tones take us beyond the physical realm into the metaphysical world.

I was not sure how and why I started drawing Mochi and his toy Brownie, but one thing is I just want to project even-though at home you can find fun things to enjoy as self-care and get to know yourself better when you are doing it alone. Of course - Mochi is not alone, he has his lovely fish toy ‘Brownie’ accompany him in every move.

You never know, even small things at home can get you busy all day long. Maybe it will be a treatment for our mental health. Maybe you get to find your new hobby to enjoy after a long day at work when you isolated yourself from the real world.

P.S. More to come :)
