Hello!

I’m Vida. I am an illustrator from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I create all my artworks traditionally using gouache and colored-pencil to tell stories. Exploring colors, different mediums and adding textures are a big part of my work. 

My style is influenced by animals and nature, and I enjoy creating fun colorful children’s illustrations in humorous and whimsical style. 

My education background is in conservation, I have a degree in Environmental Science and I spent 2 years doing some research in Marine Conservation that was focused on “Artificial Reef” located on a small island in Kep province, Cambodia. It was a big journey for me and how different it is for me to become an illustrator. But I believe that this really helps me create dynamic illustrations and characters more depth that makes them much more vivid and captivating that will help children visualize the natural world.
